Soupy Comics

Born in Shanghai, China, I moved to the United States at the age of 6. I grew up in California, and attended the University of Chicago for a double-major in History and East Asian Studies, and have been teaching history at the high school level since 2007. I've been drawing comics for fun and no profit since 2005, and my work range from the "vaguely history-ish" to the "vaguely-China-ish". The past few years have been spent drawing comics about being a parent of a now-toddler (known as Miss Rutabaga), as well as fan comics about Captain America. The latter is done under the username of "potofsoup", hence: Soupy Comics

I have a young child who greatly desires to have a cat, and a spouse who greatly desires to play all sorts of games. He also draws comics sometimes, and I've posted his work on this website under "Mr. Soup."
